Hi there, if you've found this site your probably asking yourself "what is this place?". Lets see if I can explain....
Imagine if you can a group of friends and family sitting around a table after a meal discussing this "new technology, and the internet". At the table is a real mix of skills, ages, personalities and points of views. The range of people went from those who work in the Internet to those who had never turned on a computer.
After a long and sometimes passionate discussion a few points became clear:
- Everyone had a skill or talent, something that they knew how to do well. Didn't matter if it was cooking, mechanics, programming or painting.
- If you did have something you know that could improve someone else’s life you should share it, its just the right thing to do.
- The Internet, while sometimes overwhelming, is a fantastic way to interact with others all over the world.
The question that came next was "how do you bring this all together?". People started contributing ideas, giving examples and working out a solution. It had to be a unique site, where everyone could belong. While it had to be able to grow it shouldn't be impersonal or corporate. You needed a place to share ideas and talk. There would have to be an easy way to contribute to the site. And so on...
A few of us left that conversation and kept that thought running in the back of our minds. Eventually we got together and started making it happen, its taken a while and had been a hard journey, but its here! We are proud to present Infou2 to the world. We are still working of extra features and because of the nature of this site it is always growing.
So take a look around, get involved and most of all have fun. And don't be shy to contact us, we love getting feedback and are always looking for people who want to contribute to the site.
Regards,
