Basically the Typo3 CMS system is like many other CMS systems. It is a way of entering data into a database via the internet by means of a ‘form’ on a browser. This means that a user can update web information from any computer without any special connections or software. The system then takes this data and by means of a series of style sheets and rules, calls the data and presents it as a web site.
The following link takes you to the Typo3 CMS web site which should not be confused with the community site. The Typo3 web site is about the actual technology that Kasper Skårhøj developed and made freely available to promote and assist in the development of the Typo3 Community.
This web site is quite comprehensive in explaining what is possible using the Typo3 CMS system. If you scroll down the page on the following link you will come to 2 Flash animations which give a very good quick idea of how easy this system is to use.

Note: This web site has been developed in Typo3. I am using the system to communicate the system. The survey that was made available to NET24 students uses Typo3.
