It is very important that you start in the same valley for each row.
If necessary 'cheat' to correct at the beginning of the row.
There is no need to center this design.
This design uses one main colour threads. florettes can be any colour.
You will get a totally different look if you introduce a second colour into the design.

Sew 7 cables starting with an up cable (up, down, up, down, up, down, up)
Sew one 2 step trellis moving down towards row 1. (1/4, half, down cable, 1/4)
Complete the row.
Starting a needle breadth below row 3 sew one row of 2 step trellis. Begin with up cable.
Starting at the half-way point between row 3 and 4 sew a repeat row of 2 step trellis. Begin with up cable
Sew one row of cable at row 4 begin with an up cable.
This completes the design mirror this below.
General Tips
Check to see which valley you will use as your start valley. Make sure that the valley continues the full length of your gathering. If you have one or two extra pleats to the left of this valley you can 'cheat' by sewing them together with the first pleat. This is the easiest way of ensuring that your design will be correct.
