I believe that the Typo3 community is no longer dependant on the input and influence of Kasper Skårhøj but I do feel that it is his optimism and personal input that is a constant reminder of the vision.
It is his personal interaction that reminds us that this is a result of human effort. Unlike Oscommerce Kasper has put a face to the software/vision and this has humanized the elusive and ephemeral ‘meme’ that seems to drive online evolution and community development.
By now the system has evolved into a self sustaining community with global contributors all of whom are contributing and receiving in some form.
It is this exchange that will keep the community evolving.
We may not be able to determine what the outcome will be but we do know that it will be something that the community members want because they are the ones growing, testing and challenging all that is Typo3.
